The Village of LeRoy Police Department uses two methods to appoint Police Officers:

 

Police Officer Competitive, Full-Time

An appointment from the Genesee County Civil Service Commission list of eligible applicants for the position of Police Officer.  This testing process must be completed by any applicant seeking employment that does not meet the lateral transfer criteria.  To inquire about future examinations for the position of Police Officer details may be found on the Genesee County Human Resources website.

Police Officer Non- Competitive, Part-Time

Your resume will be kept in an active file for a period of one year and will be reviewed as vacancies occur.
